David Coldwell, the Yorkshire Pennine landscape painter, was born in the spring of 1970. After studying art and photography, David set out on a varied career path taking jobs in film production, lecturing, press photography and project management.
Today, David lives in Slaithwaite near Huddersfield with his wife, Amanda, and their three children.
His paintings depict the often harsh and sometimes idyllic world of the Yorkshire Pennines; a vanishing world where isolated farms and grazing sheep survive against the elements and village centres rest quietly amongst the hills.
